Gender selection is something that has a lot of controversy. Basically it means that you can decide on the gender of your baby before the baby is born. How many times have you heard of a family with five children all of which are girls? When you finally ask them why they have so many children they often say that they were trying for a boy and then after child number five, they gave up. This means that there are not enough women to marry the men. This is a problem, especially for a country that already has too many people.

There is another aspect to gender selection besides choosing the gender of your baby. Once a person is a full grown adult, there is the technology in place for them to change their gender. Between several operations and the hormones, once a skilled surgeon is finished there is hardly a way to tell if the person was once a male or a female. However, people who are in between operations are definitely a curiosity piece for people in our culture even though they shouldn't be.
